They were super patient and helped me with whatever questions I had. They're also very honest, I brought i lamp in that I thought needed to be completely rewired and they figured out that it was just a small a problem and which they fixed then and there for 5 dollars. Love this place, a great east village staple.

This place is the best. The guy knows his stuff, fixed my lamp right on the spot.

They are OPEN! Just changed their name to Frontline Lighting. Same folks work there, new owner. Have always loved this place and they still seem great!

Emile (?) the owner or worker in this shop is amazing. My low voltage hanging pendant lights stopped working, and after putting new bulbs in, they still didn't work. Emile asked me to take in the fixtures, we tested them, they worked. So he told me it was either the transformer or the connections. I took the rest of this out of the ceiling (no easy feat!) and brought it in to the shop, we discovered the transformer was dead and one of the connections was shot. So he soldered the one connection (for $ 25), and I bought a new transformer for $ 45. I had to reinstall the whole thing, which took a few hours, but I definitely saved $ versus having an electrician do it. Highly recommend!!!

Really great local store! I called right as they were closing and the manager said he would wait for me to come with my broken lamp! Very thoughtful and immediately discovered that the bulb was broken. He had a replacement which I bought and I am very pleased. It is so nice to have local shops like this that know what they are doing but provide a personal touch. I will certainly be visiting again with any lamp needs.

This is a small but solid bulb and consumer lighting store. The staff is really nice, very accommodating and the prices are competitive. Not only that it's located right next door to McSorleys Ale House which is always good for a few cheeky beers after you stock up on all your bulb needs!
